When one realises that the secret to a good story is to sHOW rather than tELL, the doors to creative writing and storytlling are kicked wide open.
As is the case with manga and comic artists through time, The strength of a story is determined whether your narrative is smooth and clear even without the use of words. And so the tradition of the silent manga/comic is born in the wake of the silent film at the beginning of filmmaking.
Using a series of techniques like comic mashups, silent comics and 4-panel yonkoma; we’ll approach telling the same story to achieve a different effect using different stratetgies; as well as experimenting with group stories.
With the mindframe of a film director, telling a story becomes less of a writing chore, and more of an exciting challenge.
