Every country, culture and village has stories and tales that have been passed down from generation to generation orally as bedtime stories or the like. It’s time these stories are captured before they become lost to time and decay in memories that have already passed on.

Every country, culture and village has stories and tales that have been passed down from generation to generation orally as bedtime stories or the like. Unfortunately, many of those stories are being lost to time and decaying or memories that have already passed on.

In Libya, that tradition had been quite strong, though on the decline; and I grew up with my grandmothers telling me fantastic stories tinged with historical flavours like the Ottoman period where Libya was under Turkish rule. The whimsical stories tell tales of Sultan’s, princesses and magic; and I’ll be adapting them into a comic/manga form and sharing them inshallah
